In the early days of the pandemic, I forced my sons to take a walk at least once each day. The whole lockdown mentality made it tempting to lockdown on all levels and a required march around the neighborhood was my way of pushing back against the urge to do nothing.
Last week, I applied the same approach to my creative malaise and began forcing myself to make things.
The projects weren’t revolutionary and the things I made probably won’t last more than a season, but I added a little color to my living room and extended the life of a stretched out sweater headed for the landfill. More importantly, to me, I did something, so I thought I’d share.
Dang. I wanna be like you when I grow up.
What a great idea to extend the life of a beautiful sweater!
Clearly you did a LOT of “somethings,” Leah, and your decor changes fascinate me. Such a great and versatile gift you have in seeing the new life available to things that are ‘dead’ to others of us.
I’m going to sound like your abuelita now when I say, “I wish I had those”.☺️
Love this idea. Looks great!
Love how you used the sleeves on the “holder of cat toys” — lol!!!
You always amaze me… you bring out the beauty in broken, forgotten things and make the world brighter.
What a gift you have! 💕❤️💕
