It’s easy for me to get lost in language – the hunt for the right word, the desire to be understood – forever processing things from the neck up. Last night I put the keyboard aside and brought the paint brushes out; my attempt at feeling something instead of thinking about it.
It’s a struggle, even now, to resist putting words to what I created, explaining my thought process, interpreting the results. So I’ll just leave this here.
I’m loving these latest posts, Leah–I think your luminosity is showing up for the rest of us, even if not so much for you. When I saw this image, I thought I was looking at something Jan Richardson might have done. It is GORGEOUS. And it speaks. I find the blues (darkness?) even more compelling than the light/center.
Likening this to something Jan Richardson might have done is the highest praise you could give me! Her work absolutely influenced and inspired it.
