A couple of weeks ago, I finally committed to a shade of blue (Behr: Half Sea Fog) and painted my bedroom. The project was equal parts exhausting and exhilarating. It’s amazing what a fresh coat of paint can do for a room (as well as the one who inhabits that room). I did plenty of moaning and groaning while I was knee deep in the endeavor, but now that it’s done I’m so very glad I did it.
I didn’t realize how much my indecisiveness had been weighing on me. Those splotches of sample colors, intended to be helpful, were glaring reminders I was dragging my feet and no amount of tidying my room ever felt like enough because the walls were perpetually messy! I felt my blood pressure lower with every pass of the paint roller, as my bedroom returned to being a restful place. In short, this project was worth every sore muscle and every ounce of work. Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to just pick a blue!
Oh, Leah, that is just the loveliest, calming, restful color–and thanks so much for including the brand/name. So along with the beauty, you’ve received mental and emotional compensation for those aching muscles. I’m thankful for the effort, and especially for the more-than-worthwhile results. May this room be a haven and source of peaceful rest for you.
Thank you! I’ve decided even the dithering was worth it, as it introduced me to all sorts of lovely blues, and you know I’ll put the small jars of sample paint colors to good use 🙂
